Stoops References WVU vs U of L Mess?
Oklahoma fans are fanatics and are proving it this week with their death threats aimed at the referee that blew the call on the onside kick Saturday at Oregon. Sure it cost them the game. Sure it hurts. Just ask the 2005 Cards.
Now it sounds like Bob Stoops has been thinking about the Louisville/WVU game in Morgantown last year. In trying to justify how the screw up on Saturday was the definitive reason for his team losing, he said it wasnt like it was 6 minutes to go or something. If my memory serves me (and there have been many Miller Lite attacks that would make this unlikely), the blown call in Morgantown last year was around this time in the game.
Just as in Duckville, if UL recovers the ball and gets the penalty yardage assessed, the game is over. Worst case, UL runs three plays from around the 30 and gives up the ball to WVU with no timeouts and still down 2 scores.
It hurts to get the shaft. Its probably even harder for Oklahoma when they are used to being the shafter rather than the catcher.
Welcome to our world.

I hate the fact that when you argue about a blatantly incorrect decision, the fans who weren't watching or whose team won simply dismiss you as a whiner. It's like the parent who gets annoyed at the kid who always complains that his big brother keeps beating him up when she's not around, when in fact the kid actually is getting the crap kicked out of him and deserves to be heard out.
Here are the facts from "that game last November":
1. Our defense was terrible in the fourth quarter.
2. Slaton and White were amazing.
3. If Barnidge catches the ball on 4th down we win the game.
But still there's the unavoidable #4:If the referees make the correct call WE WIN THE GAME.
I'm still working through some issues.
